Behold, the USPS' New 'Duck Truck'

United States Postal Service is modernizing its vehicles

The United States Postal Service on Tuesday announced that its "Next Generation Delivery Vehicle," or NGDV, is coming. Oshkosh Defense scored the 10-year contract to manufacture the vehicles, which the USPS says will be a multi-billion dollar modernization effort. The Verge notes that's a blow to Workhorse, a commercial electric vehicle startup that had made it to the top three companies bidding on the job. The new design is getting mixed reviews from observers (more pictures here). Vice calls it "very weird looking," though writer Aaron Gordon adds, "I kind of love it." Mashable, which rounds up reactions on Twitter, says it's "cartoonish" and "baffling," labeling it a "duck truck."

It looks practical. As USPS is delivering more packages it gives them storage and walk room like the ups trucks while still being able to reach a mailbox from the vehicle. The Duck Truck will become Iconic.

It does not look like it would fare well in snow.
USPS vehicles have (in the past) come equipped with limited slip differentials to assist traction in slippery/snowy/muddy terrain..
I would expect that these will be equipped with electronic traction control, at the very least.
...Given the apparent level of common sense in our politicians , however, your concern is probably justified, IMO.

Enjoy!
