Birds drink from water fountains!

Did you know that yellow Cockatoos in Australia were spotted drinking water from fountains.
The birds moved their feet to open the spout and drank. Others waited their turn in line.
Even when other water sources were available.
A Gull in San Francisco hitched a ride on a garbage truck for 80 miles, ate from a compost
and repeated this 2 days later. A GPS tag verified this.

That doesn't surprise me, Marv. Here in California, a high school science group documented crows using twigs to dig beetle grubs out of the ground. When a local ornithologist joined the school's group, she noted that the crows were even fashioning hooks on the ends of the sticks; crows literally making tools.
