Tomorrow's my hubby's birthday, and he's not one for wanting gifts, or doing anything to celebrate. I just bought him three new flannel shirts, which he likes to wear in the winter, and a card. We'll have a nice dinner at home together, and then he'll be watching Thursday night football, hoping our home team wins, so far they've been doing good. I'm pretty much the same way, not into big celebrations or gifts.

How do you guys celebrate birthdays?

Mine's on the 18th and all being well, we'll pop around to the local and have some lunch and I'll have a beer
or two while Steve has a bet on the races, it's rare that we go out together these days so I'm hoping he'll be feeling okay.
We don't do gifts either , it's nice to just get another birthday in,lol

My three sisters, my sister-in-law and myself all have our birthdays in Dec. Jan. and Feb. I send them all a birthday card at the beginning of Dec. along with the Christmas cards. I am sure they appreciate a snail mail Birthday card because I know I do. One of my sister's birthday, the one in Feb. is delighted to receive her birthday card so early and she will wait until her Feb. birthday to open it. If I send it at the same time as the Dec. birthdays, then I don't forget to send her one. For my birthday - which is in early Jan.- I do like it when my hubby takes me out to dinner and still like to be fussed over about my January Birthday. It gets so gloomy and is always a let down, right after Christmas. So, a nice dinner and a sparkly gift just helps to brighten up January. I do buy my children birthday gifts as well as my hubby. But not for my family and friends - unless for special birthdays.

We don't - while we are very grateful to still be "up and walking" and able to bushhog the pastures, a birthday is just another day around here - lol lol lol
