Ours has just been done and passed. It is many years old but has never given any real problem.
I do have a tip though. When the engineer arrives and gets started, I always casually mention that I do hope this boiler will do another couple of years because we would find it very hard to afford a new one.
This stops any bright ideas for earning commission that he might be planning!
In the past I have had engineers who begin talking about how parts will be hard to obtain as a boiler gets older, then they start talking about good deals they can offer, pressure begins to be applied. So now I nip it in the bud.
