The nasty Islamic militants keep popping up everywhere and we keep knocking them down when we find them. Also, as usual, we claim to have killed a top dog. A war on a foreign shore prevents American gore and I say keep at it as you probably do, too...
 

Retaliation for a resort attack last year. Ironically eye balling more strikes and US presence in Libya in areas were 'abandoned' in the past including Benghazi. Supposedly they got a leader and training site.
 
If Gaddafi had been left in charge IS would never have got a foothold. Same in Iraq if Saddam had been controlled and not toppled, same with Assad in Syria. Control them, don't remove them.

Dictatorships don't tolerate radicals which is good. But even differing opinion is considered radical in a dictatorship. That being said yes the loss of life would've been far less and the region much more stable. Those regimes should've been waited out like the old cold war Soviet Union/Russia, especially without the proverbial smoking gun of evidence to invade and topple.

I have to agree, especially in the case of Saddam- if former pres. George W. Bush had not fabricated the WMD pretext to invading Irag and deposing Hussein the region would not be in such a volatile state now.
