Books you hated - let off steam

I hated and did not finish Peyton Place. Why deliberately feed your brain with garbage?
Was forced by a teacher to read Lord of the Flies, had to finish it but hated pretty much every word in it. My reading habits even as a kid were much better than that tripe!

I just finished Let Us Decend by Jesmyn Ward. I thought it was terrible which was a surprise because I usually enjoy that type of story. By the end I was reading a paragraph per page just so I could be done with it.
