Spring breakers and beach goers in the states and on the islands don't seem to care or worry about social distancing or large gatherings let alone sharing drinks etc. A booze cruze in the Bahamas had hundreds of spring breakers partying TOGETHER bumbing, rubbing and/or sharing stuff. A bunch of beach goers and/or spring breakers & vacationers in the states packed some beaches.

That being said I guess we'll find out how effective vitamin D is in boosting the immune system or wether UV rays and hotter temperatures can kill the virus. Also I heard some say all these people should just go home now. But that's even worse sending them home at once. I'd say just give them another week and test them before the leave.

While we are concerned most about the over 70 crowd, when it comes to the virus; the actual infection is rather mild. If you're under 30, and you don't have any underlying illnesses, you can weather the virus very easily. The lethality comes with those over 70, and have four + major medical conditions. That kind of rules out kids on spring break.

It looks like the Florida Spring Break is over. The Florida Governor announced restrictions that will end it....no gatherings larger than 10 people, limits on bars and restaurants, etc. While these youngsters might have a limited risk, they could easily carry this virus, and spread it around to friends/family when they return to school or home. There are just too many Unknowns about this virus for people to be taking chances.

Even if that were true, when all those breakers go home, if any of them are carrying the virus they will take it back with them and infect members of their families and friends and community who are not so young and bulletproof.

That's why it is so important that we ALL act like we have some sense in dealing with this.

Saw on news last night that all Florida beaches are closed now. My SIL's mom is in a really nice assisted living facility in Miami and they are on lockdown. Poor lady has dementia and does not understand why her daughter cannot visit every day now. They talk by phone each day but she misses her daughter.
