Branson is a great place to visit...we've been there several times. A few years ago, there was a move to bring a couple of casinos to that area, but the locals voted that down...bit of a shame, IMO, as that would have really increased the tourist trade there...and almost turned Branson into another Tunica, MS. But, then, Branson is a more "family oriented" attraction, and the people in the surrounding communities are quite religious, so gambling would not really fit into that areas environment. My favorite spot down there is Silver Dollar City.

We used to have her Dixie Stampede here in Orlando but it shut down years ago. I went to the Christmas show one year and it was great entertainment. Love Dolly Parton.....she's a good person.
