Texas passed a law recently permitting the purchasing of brass knuckles legal. A couple days ago I was in a corner tore and there they were in a glass case. I also got an add on line to sign up for a free pair. Is this what our lawmakers see as good for society? I don't know what if any the minimum age is to buy.

Brass knuckles used to be illegal and you were criminally charged and now (actually last Sept 1) you are not charged for possession. If you use them??? Sort of like pot here; you were charged with possession if you were caught with it and now you are not charged. Soon it will be legal to do anything. Stupid laws. Although I do approve the pot law. Hee hee.

Anything can be a weapon in the right hands.

The young folks in my area are wearing/carrying large innocent-looking carabiner clips as a form of self-defense or maybe as a deterrent of sorts.

I've often wondered why switch-blades were illegal, but the assisted opening knives, which open .0001 of a second slower are not.

Full auto knives are legal in many states now. I never understood the thinking behind the ban. I guess those old stilettos were scary. Of course you seldom saw anyone carrying a gun in those days. Same with balisongs, cool to flip and manipulate but no more “lethal” than a kitchen knife.

Righto, never bring a knife to a gun fight.

Although, I always been fond of my Dianova SS-BRK FRDGB La Griffe Bowie little neck knife.

Let's see if I get this right. Brass knuckled don't beat the crap out of people. People beat the crap out of people. And why do I think this had to be a Texas law?
Perhaps because he began his post with "Texas passed a law recently..." Don't start with me about Texas; I'm busy cleaning my guns.

And here, read for yourself. You might be surprised at who authored the change in the law and the justification for it. https://www.texastribune.org/2019/08/28/brass-knuckles-now-legal-texas/
