Break up a jewelry set or just keep the whole thing for the sake of one item?

I have a cameo (fake) set consisting of a bracelet, earrings, necklace pendant and ring. I would only ever wear the necklace and I can't see any reason to keep the other items, but at the same, I am reluctant to break up the set by selling the pieces I don't use.

Just wear the necklace. Try and sell the rest. If the pieces sell, fine. If they don’t, that’s fine too.

My friend was upset that her set of jewellery didn’t sell. I suggested that it’s because women don’t wear sets anymore.
