Bringing Non-Alcohol Beers To Work

What would be the opinion of your former company or workplace if someone brought some bottles of non-alcohol beers for the lunchroom fridge? Would it be an unnecessary distraction or a nothing burger? To me I would not be in favor of it because I would like to have to explain to customers that it was not real beer every time they saw a bottle on a desk or in the garbage. There are a million options for beverages.

Sounds like a way for people, who can't make it through the day without an alcohol fix, to refill the bottles with the real stuff, jam the caps back on and get a buzz after lunch. As fmdog says, "There are a million options for beverages".

I'm not sure what the companies opinion would be.

Years ago I had issues with an employee drinking and was told that unless I could prove that the person was drinking at work or that his drinking had a negative impact on his duties that I couldn't do anything about it.

These days it probably wouldn't be difficult to find a Dr. Feelgood that would give you some sort of medical excuse/prescription for a six-pack to consume daily as needed.
