Bringing old photographs to life

I have only just become aware of this idea of bringing old photos of people long passed away, back to 'life' by AI animation

I definitely don't want anything to do with this, I find it too creepy.
Yet others are finding comfort in it, many think it's great and that's ok.

What do you think, if you are aware of this?
