When I was talking about dental care I meant to mention that for many yrs I've had a problem with teeth grinding in my sleep. That can wear down teeth, fillings, and even crowns.
About 8 yrs ago the student I had at OSU dental took an impression (just like they do for a crown) and the lab made me a mouth guard, which I'm supposed to wear at night. (It cost $120) I was consistently wearing it for awhile, then got lax. The other day I was reminded it's not doing me any good sitting in the bathroom medicine cabinet. So, I'm wearing it again.
You can buy one at the drugstore, but a custom made one is better. However, a private dentist will charge in the neighborhood of $300 +.
