Don’t just put out there lighted and all, and just forget about it! Technically only govt entities are supposed to follow flag etiquette, but if they go to the trouble and expense to put it up, why not go the whole way. My apt complex is a prime offender & it’s happened with each mgt change they get sloppy about the flag. Very easy to get on an email list for announcements and reminders. The last occasion, before RBG, I forwarded the email to the office and they actually did lower when they were supposed to and full the next day. (With the hint that they might want to subscribe.)
Still at full the whole time now since RBG This set of mgrs is ornery; can’t twist their tail too often.

Out erranding today, saw the usual mix of some up, some half. Sad.

Politics aside. To me the Flag is the Flag .

I specified businesses because private citizens who have a flagpole where the flag can be raised and lowered in their yards are usually very conscientious about flag etiquette. If they have a flag that is permanently attached, it doesn’t apply. One can only hope that if left out 24/7/365 that it is illuminated.

I proudly fly Old Glory and the POW-MIA in the front yard...
2 solar lights for illumination.
But I do hate that its a fixed pole, and I have to take it down and reclip the flags lower.
Im wanting to get a halyarded pole for the new place.

Update on my apt flagpole saga. It was at HALF , the day of RBG interment, today , When I went out to do errands at 10:30 am, was at full yesterday and all last week. Wonder what it will be tomorrow.
