Busy fun weekend.

Last Monday there wasn’t a thing planned for this past weekend. But as happens frequently with us, the weekend quickly grew legs and ran, and it ended up being very different, but fun and happy different, than the way it started out!

Saturday
Racer wants breakfast! This is the way he gets Ron’s attention


And we’re off to pick granite for the kitchen countertop...which ends up being a lot more overwhelming than I thought it would be!


Couple of peanut butter and milk stouts and a light lunch at Party Fowl, one of our favorite hangouts.




Then an impromptu family dinner with everyone who happened to be around.

Ron’s ride-on lawnmower stopped working so Grayson came over early Sunday to see if he could fix it.


I promised him breakfast, and once again cooked for everyone who happened to be around.


Then we took off to see the latest Gerard Butler movie Angel Has Fallen. We’d binge-watched his earlier two Fallen movies just the week before and when I realized the new one was out we were excited to go see it! The movie theater is right next to our favorite hangout and the restaurant we consider to be “our” place, Bar Louie, so of course we had to go! We were hungry, AND they serve the best cucumber gimlets around, so it was a win/win!!






I’m such a planner, so it’s difficult for me to be impulsive. But weekends like this which was totally a shoot from the hip kind of time make me realize that I need to be more impulsive because it’s such fun!!
