Buy Rechargeable Batteries!

I don't care for rechargeables Ron, we have this old charger we bought years ago and we eventually stopped bothering to use it. I found that rechargeable AA batteries don't last nearly as long as the regular ones. I just buy batteries from Costco when they're on sale.

Things have changed over the years. I literally have some Apple rechargeable batteries that I bought in 2009. They still work just fine.

They're not meant to! You simply recharge them.

You use a rechargeables in your car, cellphone, tablet, laptop etc. Why not in your AA applications?

I have a hard time remembering when I got a message saying my rechargeable batteries needed charging! I got a message saying my cable tv remote batteries needed to be replaced. I'll install my rechargeable batteries, and eagerly await the arrival of the new ones to serve my ever-growing electronics collection.

I bought some Ray-O-Vac rechargeable batteries and charger, about 5 years ago, to use in the camera, etc. It seemed that they would only take a couple dozen pictures before the "check battery" light would come on. I then bought some Duracell "Procell" batteries on EBAY, and they take 4 or 5 times more pictures than the rechargeables, before I have to switch batteries. Now, these Procell batteries are the Only batteries I buy...they are made primarily for EMT's, Police, Fireman, etc., and are far better than anything I have ever bought in the stores. I get them from EBAY at a fraction of the price I would pay for "inferior" batteries in the stores.

Don M. You didn't buy the rechargeable batteries that I bought. At any rate, whatever works for you.
