Cable TV out for 8 hours

It went out around 2:30 am (the silence woke me up). Phone and Internet were not affected. The usual rebooting of the cable box didn't work, it just kept alternately flashing APP then IA01. I called in the problem and a technician was scheduled to pay a service call. Twenty minutes before the arrival time, the service just came back on seemingly by itself, so I cancelled the call. Spectrum says there was no problem on their end and won't reimburse me for the loss of service. They said it would have to be out for several days before they would consider a refund. I just wonder sometimes, but I missed my morning shows.
