Came back from our cruise with an unwanted souvenir — Covid.

Came back from our cruise with Covid. Noticed a runny nose in the airport, but didn’t think much of it. Had a scratchy throat at home, decided to test. Negative. Tested the next day and it was positive. ☹️ Symptoms not too bad, mostly just tired with loss of appetite. Sigh.

Sorry to hear that. I hope it won't last long and you will be back to normal really soon. Get lots of rest!

I’m so sorry to learn this. How are you feeling now? Did you get it at the end of the tour or beginning?
Got it at the very end. Probably in Brazil. It’s been up and down. Today I snoozed away the morning in my recliner. I mean, except for the lethargy, I’ve had worse colds, so it could be worse. It’s bad enough to make me whine about. 😜 Plus I had things I needed to do this week, but I don’t want to spread the disease.

At least you got to see Brazil. How exciting.
it sounds like you are handling it well. You still have humour which is good.

I know everyone wants it to go back to the so called normal times but covid is still out there. We do not have as many deaths or serious illness but for me I will continue to be cautious. I remember when it first started I thought I will just go ahead and get it, and be done with it. Kind of like chicken pox. It just freaks me out that people, vaccinated people keep getting it over and over. The virus is ever evolving to stay alive. I still worry that it will mutate into another type that will cause serious illness again.
