Can anyone recommend a good free penpal site?

I'm currently using FriendMatch and PenPalWorld but am not getting a lot of respnses. (Maybe it's just me.) I'm wondering if people have used a different site with good results.
 

Can't recommend one, but there are a lot around for specific countries.

I once tried a senior's pen-pal site, but didn't really connect with anyone. I have one pen-pal I met through a senior's forum, who lives in my Province. We've been writing for several years.

I had an English girl pen pal when I was 15. Really loved that experience. I think her name was Louise? Not sure. Didn't realize there were still pen pal sites.
 

I was looking into Pen Pal sites several months ago, and came up emptyhanded in the end. Found a few, but when researched them there was either very little activity, suspicious or defunct. It's a shame...I guess the days of Pen Pals is gone, even with email now...or of course the old snail mail.
 
Update, I've had some luck with PenPal World and also started reaching out to people who list their email addresses on PenPalsNow! (penpalsnow.com) and have started some exchanges with some interesting people. Problem with PenPal World is that you are only able to send three messages a day when using their free service. You can only see your last three replies so if four people send you replies one will not be available to you. However I have met some nice folks on PenPal World.
