Can apple crisp be saved?

I made an apple crisp to bring to church coffee fellowship, but services were cancelled today because of a snow storm. Is there any way I can save it to bring next week? (It's in a stoneware, deep-dish bowl).

Have you thought of freezing it?

If the container can't go into the freezer, then you'd have to scoop it all out, put into something else to freeze.

If freezing is not an option, then -no.

I'll save you plane fare. Here's my recipie:

Apple Cranberry Crisp

3 large firm apples (approx 2 pounds) - peeled, cored and chopped
3/4 cup whole cranberry sauce (or 3/4 cup craisins reconstituted in OJ)
1/4 cup white sugar
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

topping
1/3 cup quick-cooking oats
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, cut into pieces
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 375
°.
Butter an 9 inch square baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix together apples, cranberries, white sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Spread evenly into baking dish.
In another bowl, combine oats, flour and brown sugar.
With a fork, mix in butter until crumbly.
Stir in pecans.
Sprinkle over apples.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until topping is golden brown, and apples are tender.

Yes it will freeze and the stoneware dish should take the freezer temp. I would freeze it take out it late at night and elave it in the fridge then re bake it a little to recrisp it..should be fine
