Yes absolutely...I do it all the time. Life when I was younger was a very serious affair, it took me a long time to see the funny side of things, but I learned that the best way is to start by laughing at yourself...
I can laugh at myself Justme. I was just in the woods and saw what looked like a Pica sitting on a rock. In the area where we were camping, there were just little chipmunks and marmots, etc. When I called my husband over to look at him, and was thinking of getting my camera since he was sitting so still there, my hubby pointed out that it was a log, not a rock, and what looked like the Pica was just a strange part of the log. At least he agreed that it did indeed look like a Pica at first, but pointed out that there was never a rock there, just that tree trunk...but we both laughed at my mistake.
I still laugh at some of the cooking mistakes I've made over the years too...or how I kept trying to scrub a dark spot on the carpet, which turned out to just be a shadow from a recently bought cat toy that stuck to the wall with a suction cup, and was like a punching bag. layful:
Justme, hijacking happens when a poster mentions something off topic on a thread. In this case, it was welcoming SeaBreeze back after her camping vacation.
I only laugh at myself sometimes. It wouldn't hurt a bit to do it more often
