Canada Approves Pfizer Vaccine for Children

"12 and older?" If it's a safe vaccine, why would it be age restricted?
Flu shots are recommended for ages 6 months & older. Why would they restrict Covid vaccine if it is "safe?"

Good question but I unfortunately have no answer. Sorry.

So what will elementary school kids do? Learn at home? Wear masks all the time?
Honestly chic I have no idea. I’m not a news watcher. The only reason I know this is because the channel I was watching suddenly switched to the news so I heard about it so looked it up online.

I may have been dreaming or perhaps I saw in the news where they announced that soon in the future, 2 - 11 yr. olds will be eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine. Don't quote me. I'll do some research when I get a burst of energy.

The trial results of the Pfizer vaccine’s effectiveness in children ages 2 to 11 should be available by September.

This is my understanding also. I’m not sure why they focussed on ages 12 - 16 first but younger kids were definitely mentioned as the next concern.
