Candies in Your Purse

Do you carry candies in your purse or maybe your coat pocket? This is often considered an ‘old person‘ habit and maybe it is.

I’ve started carrying a couple of Werther‘s Originals. Durning my walk one day I knew my blood sugar was down, probably because I didn’t eat enough lunch. Rushed home as soon as possible and ate some salted chips. Years ago my doctor warned me to watch out for this. My husband has other issues but sugar does help him a bit, so now he’s convinced to carry one.

Mints or sometimes cough drops. If I get a throat tickle and start hoping I won't cough, it gets worse and that can be embarrassing, so I like to have a mint in case of dry throat. And always tissues. I don't have old shopping lists but maybe old receipts.

Usually Brach's sugar free lemon drops.

PS: No purse.....LOL

Tissues are something I never leave home without.

I see several of us need water along too. When I have my backpack, I carry a very small light bottle. It’s impossible to find something that’s small and light enough for my purse. I had a small ‘liquor‘ flask get a weird look when I sipped from it.

No I'd eat them. But a diabetic or anyone prone to low blood sugars should carry them. I think my blood sugar has gotten low from time to time or perhaps I was just really hungry. But when that happens, I've felt off for hours. Even after eating.
