I can't get food delivery for another 11 days from one place and another place has no windows open but I've found that Amazon Prime has snacks! So I got some unsalted sweet potato chips small packets and some planters nuts small packets. I love my snacks and may have a packet for a meal when I need to.

I will get one pkg. Sat. and the other Sun. Much faster than I can get my groceries at this time. And I must say they are healthy snacks in small portions so I got it covered.🙂

Thank God for loving daughters! We are not allowed to get together any more. No visitors to our apartment building, so she will lug the groceries to the lobby, drop them by the door, step back at least six feet, I open door, pick up groceries, give her a grateful wave and that completes the transaction. :) Thank God I am not dependent on snacks, except for fattening and unhealthy ones like donuts and Pringles! I have never eaten hummus in my life. What is the basic make-up of this delicacy?

Easy to make in a blender:
Chick Peas
Tahini (ground sesame seeds)
Garlic
Oil
Nice for dipping vegetable sticks or plain nacho's into.

Our daughter does the same for us .. yes, bless their hearts 🥰

... so, now I'm eating crackers & hummus .. please, no-one mention ice-cream, because I have none!
I love hummus and anything that goes with them which are a lot of things. I especially like dipping with little pretzels--not your regular pretzels but flattened ones that easily can pick up the hummus. What's your favorite kind of hummus? I like the one with greek olives chopped up or the spicy one that is on the hot side.

also fresh lemon juice
Thanks RadishRose and Pinky!! I am culinarily deprived since I have never eaten chick peas or tahini! Atlantic Canadians are quite conservative, so I would be surprised if I found the above ingredients on the shelves. I can tell you all about lobster, dipped in clarified butter and clam chowder (which I am eating at this very minute. Don't despair for me, though. My granddaughter has introduced me to Pad Thai and I liked it!

You are so fortunate there in N.B. to get fresh seafood.
Good for you for trying something new. Pad Thai is not difficult to make yourself, if you ever feel experimental.

My favourite is the one with pistachios .. or any kind that's available :) Haven't seen the one with olives, but know I'd like it.

Don't order food in. Need to get out & see the real world. We head to a Sobey's Grocery store every Monday morning & enjoy the beautiful spring, prairie sunrise. The store is opened for seniors between 7 - 8 am. There are only about 8 seniors in the store. Don't go to Superstore or Wally Mart: there are just too many people. If I was to order groceries in I would feel like an immate in a federal prison. I need to get out & watch the local river run & breath the fresh air. Hey, it's spring & life is short. Love to see the trees swinging in the breeze.

We haven't needed to get much in the way of real food over the past month so I've stayed out of the market, but I did order from Target. I have their redcard which means I get free 2-day shipping on many items. With food items, they'll only ship with a minimum order of $25 and in some cases, $35 minimum.

Hubby wanted his sweets, so I loaded him up on things like Twinkies. But I was also able to get real food like canned fruit and veggies, oatmeal, tomato sauce, flour, etc. I just missed out on active dry yeast, which was sold out by the time I was ready to check out. Good thing BJ's had it in stock, and I was able to have it shipped from there.

With Target, they shipped the order in several boxes with arrival dates varying. At least the sweets were 2-day. It seems silly getting one package of instant mashed potatoes in one box, but at least they sent it.

So Target redcard members, don't forget you can get a lot of non-perishable food shipped to your home. They also have delivery, but I didn't want to bother with all that.

I went to the drug store to get my meds....with mask on....Then went to market to get food....$150.00 …. We usually have Easter with our kids
not gonna happen this year....So anyway, we have a lot of stuff to keep our belly's working....hahaha.....
My husband found a Chiorpractor, finally....Very hard to get....He will go on Monday....I have to drive him....I will stay in the car..
They only let 1 person in the office....
Our son will come from NJ, if by May...If all is OK...He will take us home....We leave our car here....It's a very long ride and my son has
a big car....Hopefully it will get better...God Help Us!!!!

I agreed, pop on a mask and go see the world. Walmart is way too busy, but Costco is limiting the number of people in the store, washing their carts, and is well stocked with most items, including toilet paper.

There is no food delivery in the mountains so we occasionally go down to the flat lands and buy things. We each get a cart at Walmart and follow our lists. John heads to pharmacy and dog food and I go to the grocery dept. Later me meet at the liquor lock down aisle. Whichever of us gets there first pushes the botton calling for the person with the key to unlock the glass doors. We make our selections and then get out of there. It works for us.

There are people on the local Facebook pages who have offered to go shopping for seniors but we aren't so sure we aren't in better health then most of the youngsters today anyway. Our children live about 3 hours away but their answer to everything is for us to move in with them and we don't think we are that old yet!
