The Princess of Wales was greeted with a standing ovation as she headed into the Royal Box at Wimbledon today.

Kate, 42, who has stepped away from public royal duties while undergoing cancer treatment, is watching Spanish reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz take on veteran Novak Djokovic in the Grand Slam final, with the pair both hoping to win the trophy, which will be presented by Kate this evening.

Joined by daughter Princess Charlotte, nine, and her sister Pippa Middleton the future queen was greeted with applause making her second public appearance of the year.

But before the mother-daughter duo took their seats in the Royal Box, they met with female tennis stars, including 21-year-old Emma Radacanu, who all presented Kate with a bouquet of flowers .

When our daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer I found myself with the greatest sense of helplessness I have ever known. I am certain that her family and those near her have the same feelings. I hope her health issues are behind her for good. By all accounts she is loving wife and mother who serves as a grand example to all.

I'm so glad to see Catherine looking so well, especially after all the bad news from yesterday and today. Looking at her being with her daughter gives me a broad smile! Hope to see even more of them!
It's not surprising that Charlotte has grown so tall despite being just turned 9 years old... her mother is 5'9 .. and in heels would be close to 6 feet.. Charlotte is up to her shoulders already....making her around 5 ' tall...

William is 6'4'' tall.. and I saw that Prince George at 10 years old is up to his Fathers' shoulders.. making him over 5 feet tall

To me, the Princess of Wales is always perfectly dressed. Conservative, as fits her position, but still pretty and elegant. I think she may be the last woman on earth who still wears panty-hose, and I think that looks so much better than veiny feet and raw knees.

I'm guessing that Princess Kate making a sports presentation is this first in a while public appearance for her. As far as I'm concerned she is an incredibly gracious and poised person. Anyone who has personally or has a family member who has faced cancer clearly understands the horrible ordeal it presents. We have a daughter and daughter-in-law who bravely faced that insidious monster, and I'm thankful every day that we continue to have them in our life and pray for their continued good health. It seems that Kate has and is serving as an excellent role model in still another way.

She looks fit not frail although she could gain weight and I doubt it would affect her fitness or appearance. Her color looks good. From going into hiding to taking center court is a grand re emergence.

Based on the lack of news reporting otherwise, I have concluded that a thread my wife read about the Princess' health taking a turn was just fake news. It irks me that people do those things. I believe a similar incident about former President Carter was equally false.
