Cauldron falls with a steady hand

Bloke with a camera
Cauldron falls in Wensleydale, Yorkshire. Lots of water about this afternoon!

I've never been able to make a waterfall look like that in my photos, but I see it in many others... what's the secret ?:)
It’s all about the shutter speed. The look that a lot go for where it looks like smooth milk needs a couple of seconds or more. I prefer some detail and a sense of movement. I usually shoot at about 1/10” for waterfalls and this shot was 1/4”. Most people will need a tripod for this but I have a very steady hand and my camera has very good stabilisation.
