Cell Phones

I've never bought a iPhone or smart phone, all I need is something to make phone calls, and I do very little of that. I've had three cell phones in 18 years. I lost the first two because the phone company decided to stop servicing the units I had. Too old. Of course I had to purchase a new phone to continue to have service. I just get the cheap flip top versions. Has anyone run into this problem?

My first cell phone was a Net10...a branch of TracPhones... I never had any problems with it... Then my granddaughter included me in her TMobile plan and I have a Samsung G3 ... but its not a 'smart or I phone'...but I LOVE the camera ability!...and I like the slide out text thingamajiggy. :)

I've had three cell phones. Two of them are in my sock drawer. My last phone was a tracfone and I bought 1000 minutes thinking that would last me a year. here twelve months later I still have 747 minutes but only 53 service days left. So what to do. If my service days run out, I lose all my minutes. I'e also got a land line in evert room. I carry the cell phone when I go in the car, for emergencies.

My daughter got me an iPhone. I didn't think I needed a smart phone, since mostly all I do with it is use it when I have a phone call, and occasionally text someone.
However, now that I have it, I have found that I do enjoy it, and do other things with it. I love the camera, and the pictures are shared with my iPad and laptop automatically.
I have several apps that I like, too. One checks the engine of the car, and tells me how it is running, and what kind of gas mileage I am getting; plus there is a little map that says where I am, and how far I have driven that day.
I have an app that connects with the BP wrist thingie, so when I check my BP, it is saved to the phone app.
At night, I like to listen to a motivational session, and have several of those on the phone, and use that with the headphones. There are a bunch of other apps on the phone, but most of those I don't use very often.
I would be fine with just a plain old phone, but I have gotten used to the iPhone, and now I do like having it.

When you are out, you can always call yourself and leave a long message. :)

I am computer literate, but cell phone stupid. I just need a cell to send and receive phone calls. I am quite content with my inexpensive Jitterbug Cell Phone & service.

I've had a cell phone since they came out. I had an iPhone for a couple of years, then decided I didn't need all the features. I ended up buying a Jitterbug and am fine with 100 minutes a month. I only use it when I am out or if my cable goes out (I have a phone with my cable bundle.)

I don't miss my iPhone at all. I do not like texting. It's is hard on my neck.
