Ceramic Pig

Grampa Don

Yep, that's me
Here is another one of my shots to waste your time.

Everything in it has a story. The pig was a gift from my youngest son. The turtle was a birthday gift that his wife picked out for me. She said it reminded her of me. I think that's a compliment. It's tough to buy gifts for old people who don't really need anything. Many years ago I worked with a guy who bought a house with a bunch of rocks in the yard. He asked me if I wanted some. Sure, why not. So, I loaded up the back of my car and brought some home and they are still here. The yellow pot is a cutting from a Christmas cactus that is trying to survive. the white pots are my attempt at bonsai with geraniums. The green pot was empty until a squirrel planted a peanut in it. The green things on the ground fall off the mulberry tree every spring.

Don, I am not big on lawn ornaments. Rocks are always nice tho'. I enjoyed hearing about what's in the pots; that's a peanut plant? I've never seen one.

Similar to your frog, I had a greenish leaded glass butterfly on a stick at one time. I like birdbaths, but not much else.

The pig however, is outstanding! I am so glad you showed it to us. :D

I love that pig!! so cute....:)

I also like your rocks. My daddy was a rock collector.....

I been wanting to unbox them all and make a rock garden out of them.

Thanks for the comments. No, the pig isn't a bank. It would take a lot of pennies to fill him up. By the way, from the rear you can tell it is a he.

One time my son gave me some pink flamingos as a joke. My wife wouldn't let me put them in the front yard, but they stood in the back yard until the plastic crumbled.

Cute little pig. I love rocks also. I have rocks from all over the country. The problem is I forgot to label them. Now I just have a pile of rocks.
