Chernobyl

Thirty years ago today I was sending teams out to monitor our outside working areas - it's the anniversary of Chernobyl and the wind was in our direction.

Biggest surprise was that the monitors showed high levels even in our inside rest room, particularly the carpeted area.

On reflection it was quite obvious really as we were in and out all day.

I just saw a headline over the weekend that they are seeing increased radiation in Belaruse I think it was? And vegetation and wild life still seeing increased levels in some of the Nordic areas.

The restrictions on radioactive Welsh lamb meat were only lifted on 2012.
