Chocolate Chip cookies - MY WAY

For many years I made chocolate chip cookies from scratch.

Lately I've been doing something different.

Buy 2 packs of 'break & bake' cookie dough without nuts.
Also a small pkg of black walnuts.

Open both pkgs (let the dough get soft).
Add: handful of old fashioned whole wheat oats, handful of brown sugar, tablespoon of vanilla, dash of cinnamon, 1/2 pkg of black walnuts.

Grease your hands with margarine (or butter). Mix everything together.

Put portions on cookie sheet...whatever size you like.

Bake. But watch carefully....I like my cookies a bit "doughy" and warm.

Put a glass of milk in the freezer.

YUM!! :)

A penalty has been levied against you for teasing us with morsels of cookie goodness.

I am PM'ing you my home address now and will expect to take receipt of some cookies very soon.

That sounds so good. I love black walnuts. Someone gave me a bag of black walnuts years ago. Took forever to get to the nuts. I had black hands for a week after. Nice to be able to dump them right out of a bag.

I haven't cracked/picked them since I was a kid. The pkg I bought is 2.25 oz in the baking goods aisle and half the bag is plenty. They are strong but gooood! The entire bag would have over-powered the chocolate chips and other ingredients. btw the oatmeal is good for balancing and cohesiveness.

There's nothing tastier than homemade chocolate chip cookies...IMO. My wife always keeps some on hand to feed my "addiction". I don't like nuts in them, and the only thing she adds to the recipe is a half spoonful of cinnamon..Great!
