Anyone wanna see a short Video of our Christmas lights in London this year?

Not exactly cutting edge , this video, there are other on youtube much, ..much longer, if you prefer to take a 3 hour walk around all of central London, but this one goes up the side streets mostly, rather than the main Oxford street lights and no talking on it, which is nice .. if you get bored , jump to around 7 minutes where they go into Fortnum and Mason department store, and you will see all the male sales assistants walking around in Black tie and tails.. then further at around 10 minutes you;ll see Burlington Arcade, which is really pretty.....

A great video Holly D. I didnt know these vids were available on youtube.

A trip down memory lane for me. I am a Londoner and lived in the capital up to 1964. I lived near the West End of London and loved it. Oxford Street and Regent street was a vibrant, exciting thoroughfare and still is I imagine. Is this video this year?

Thanks for the trip and the memories👍

Holly thanks for sharing this video,I skipped around too enjoyed the light displays
It looked strange not to see any snow on the ground
I liked the different store displays in Burlington Arcade. It must be a madhouse there a few days before xmas and on 'boxing day'

Thought it was. In my day the decs were heavy and busy. I do like this years simple and very effective. I remember the big stores: Peter Robinson, Libertys, DH Evans, Bourne and Hollingsworth etc. I worked in DH Evans for the Jaeger concession as a junior. Happy days ☺

for anyone who has more patience than me...here is Central London 2019 in 2 parts..very long videos..

This first one is part 2 of two taken by a keen young man, showing all of central London's lights 2019... he's taken a good long time to make this video, and bless him for doing it so everyone who can't be in London can enjoy, but I'm afraid he's not very exciting, so please feel free to jump through if you get bored with his long descriptions .... after viewing some of the larger department stores and street lights I recommend stopping at 10 mins , for the walk up St Christopher's' place.. and then after that...stop at 50 minutes for a short walk through the Royal Arcade.. (Bond street) and then 56 minutes.. a different view from the last video, of Burlington Arcade..

If you want to see more, search for the first part of the video...equally as long...

Part one of the long videos of Central London ..an hour and a 1/4 which includes, Carnaby St, Regent, and Oxford streets ... if you can cope, or jumst jump through at will... :D

Thank you hollydolly, that was great! I noticed you use a lot of red n blue decorations, in the states we use red, green n white. Everything was just beautiful! 😊

Thanks you so much, I'm pleased you enjoyed it Lvst... I hadn't actually noticed that about the colours tbh , but it may be to represent red , white & blue, the colour of our flag !!:D🇬🇧

Very pretty Hollydolly, we live about 2 hours from New York City and have gone on occasion. They have a lot of lights and beautiful decorated trees but everyone is always in such a rush and the crowds can be impossible. London seems to be a bit more relaxed. Thanks for the video.
