I'll start off with the video I took this time last year ( can you believe it was a year ago ?).. at the local garden centre of their wonderful Christmas village.. many of you will remember, and I hope the new members who've joined us this year will enjoy...


 

That is awesome, @hollydolly ! We used to have beautiful things like that in the stores when I was a kid, but I do not know if they still have them here or not. I remember my mom taking me to Spokane near Christmas and we would walk around downtown , looking at all of the gorgeous Christmas displays in the big stores like The Crescent and Bon Marche.
Before we went home, she would drive up on the South Hill (where the rich people lived back then) and we drove past all of the lighted yard displays. Christmas was a magical time of year when I was growing up !

yes it was very much a magical time when we were kids too Yvonne .. despite us in my family getting very little..we still loved the huge picture windows in the stores lit up as it got dark.. , and filled with everything you could wish for at Christmas.. sadly not these days.. but we still have lovely things like our garden centres and our Pubs, and fancy displays .. as well as our famous City Christmas lights..

My mother loved Bubble Lights on the Christmas tree, and every year, when we put up the tree, it had several strings of bubble lights that bubbled and made the tree look so awesome, like they were some kind of little candles.
After I grew up, I always put bubble lights on the tree for my children, and they loved them also. We would just turn off the lights and watch the Chiristmas Tree bubbling along.
