Christmas Tree Shortage

There was a sign at a local stores that they won’t be selling any real Christmas trees this year.

Between the heat dome and forest fires, there are few sources. This is in a province noted for our spectacular forests. So many tree farms were harmed.

Those planning to buy artificial trees may have a hard time purchasing too because of the shipping issues.

We'll probably have plenty, all overpriced.

My daughter doesn't want to use our 6' artificial tree this year. Well, we are going to. I paid good money for it, it is pre-lit, and it is stored in a Christmas tree storage bag. It's neither dusty, nor too tall, as my daughter claims.

If we bought a real tree, I guarantee it would be h-e-double toothpicks to get her to put the ornaments away and to take it to the curb. One year, our decorated artificial tree was still up the following Christmas. The kids had that chore - to put everything away. And why not? I did everything else! They "forgot". I guess forgetting to do things for an entire year is the new word for being lazy.

...and no truck drivers to transport them

I'm doing my part .... I have 1/2 an artificial tree that I've been hanging on my living room wall for the last two years.
Nice for a small space .. it looks something like this .. and just rolls up after Christmas
