Chritmas gift ideas for your other Half ?

I'm stumped for ideas for Christmas gifts for my O/H.. usual scenario like so many at this age.. mostly he has everything he wants, and if not he'll buy it himself... However I love to buy at Christmas, even if it's only one gift for on the day..but I've run out of ideas....so let's hear what you're all buying your significant others for Christmas this year, see if I can get some inspiration... ;)
 

I know exactly what you mean.. now Mrs.L. and I just exchange token gifts and this year we are buying (as a sort of pressie), joint National Trust membership. Other times, we have bought good seats at the theatre.

Otherwise, I think I would suggest an 'experience day' - could be anything from a flight in a vintage aircraft, a day driving a JCB, indoor skydiving ... whatever your OH would like. One year, I bought Mrs L. a flying lesson.
 
Hubby wants some new jeans....He really doesn't need anything, he has a closet full of clothes he doesn't wear...It's time to give the clothes to the Veterans...They pick up twice a month....
 
We do very small Christmas gifts. This year I bought hubby a tee shirt from a cool little brewery we visited while traveling in Oregon. My friends distracted him while I covertly had the waiter slip it in a small bag so I could cram it in my purse.

We have very few wants and needs these days. Like others here, if we want something, we buy it. Over the past few years we've started having a couple different themed grab bags with our kids and whoever else comes by. One is on Christmas Eve (drunken white elephant- meaning something with alcohol - max $20) and another on Christmas Day (a pound of something for roughly $10). The grab bags are a hoot.

Among our kids and ourselves, we get one another a $10-ish gift. Often it's cool or funny food stuffs. A giant Reece's cup from one of my sons to the other was the most memorable gift last year.

We know that we're exceedingly fortunate to not need anything.
 
We haven't exchanged gifts in several years now. Like many of you we don't have wish lists any longer, and it took some of the holiday pressure off not having to obsess about what to buy. We have fun buying for the children and grandkids, though.
 
That's the trouble C'est Moi...we don't have grandchildren to buy for... my daughter doesn't want anything because she's hoping to move soon, so she tells us to keep hold of the money we'd otherwise have spent so she can eventually buy something for the new place, so we only really have each other to buy for...

I am purchasing my guy a spinning custom knife sharpener. He’s a woodcarver too.
One year he got a tiny real Christmas tree covered in different fishing lures.

If your Other Half says, "Lets not get carried away this Xmas. Lets not go into debt. We have to be responsible. We should get only inexpensive,responsible gifts."

Our anniversary is Dec. 30th so I am replacing the money clip I got him for a previous anniversary. It took him about 15 years to lose it,which is pretty good for him lol. Too bad it DID have money in it when he lost it :( The new one will have the same thing engraved on it as the last one....."Sexy Grandpa Lucky Grandma"
