Kalgoorlie, population 30,000, no longer has any store that sells books other than childrens books.
The last dedicated bookstore closed, Target completely closed it's store and K Mart sells only Childrens Books.
Perth is the nearest city, 550 kms, 340 miles away.
Residents are left with the option of ordering books on line or accessing E Books.
Sad day when businesses shun the local population

Who reads books anymore? I had 15 boxes of books I tried to sell for years and didn't havet one buyer. When my basement flooded this summer, they ended up in the rented dumpster.
I read book. Both fiction and non fiction. I utilse my local library as well as the free book swap at the local shopping centre.
Last week I bought - The Tibetan Book of the Dead.

I read physical books every day, also.
If they have a Salvation Army or other second-hand store in Kalgoorlie, perhaps people can donate books there.
