The 1953 Nash Rambler “Rail Top” convertible was a stunning body style in 1953 and still is some 70 years later. Those of you who have seen the movie Superman probably remember Lois Lane driving one of these as Superman flew in the car as she was driving down the road.

I never understood why Clark Kent would change into his Superman costume in a phone booth. I mean, there's no real privacy or elbow room...
He should have used restrooms for women with babies. Much more privacy and space. At least nowadays it should be no problem.

My parents had a '50s Nash Rambler(hardtop), which my older brother inherited when he started driving. Then my mom bought a '61Rambler Classic, which I inherited when I started driving.

My dad worked at America Motors for 32 years which made the Nash Rambler. We always had one of their cars. At its height they employed 20k workers and people came from other towns to work there.

I bet there was no rearview mirror on the windshield because there was no windshield on the car. Just a stationary stage car with a movie screen behind it. Those were fun to watch in those old movies, I liked seeing the driver turning the steering wheel and the car not moving or moving the wrong way. Watching the car moving around like there were ropes attached to the car and stagehands would pull on the ropes and the moves were out of synch with the motion picture playing behind it. I really like looking those old movies and watching the chase scenes to see how out of synch they were.
