With the pressure to deal evacuation I’ve been pushing myself to organize old photos and at least take a photo of them. We have a special scanner that‘s not working properly with our old, slow computer. Most photos have been scanned commercially.
Years ago I ripped the pertinent pages out of my year books with the intent of copying them. This is the first time I’ve looked back them.
One interesting thing was the positioning in the photos. It was always co-ordinated by height. That meant all girls in front unless one was really tall. (I was always in the front of the line). Girls sat at an angle, feet together, hands in their laps. Boys at the back, hands clasped in the front.
That was for the General Stream. If the boys were in the Technical Stream, they were made to cross their arms at their chest in a rather defiant stance.
The one thing about all our bouffant hairdos was that we all had them. Kitten heels for the girls.
Rather fun viewing.
