Classic Faux pas

It's time to 'fess up - what's your classic faux pas comment?

Most recent, my wife was doing some decorating and was using glitter. She rubbed her face and consequently a shiny speck was shimmering right under her eye - I called it to her attention, although instead of saying 'right under your eye', I said, 'it's in the BAG under your eye'

Arrrrrrruuuuuuugh- to the dog house I go......

That's excellent!

This is a favorite of mine, it happened to a friend of mine's husband a few years ago at Dairy Queen.

He was ordering a Peanut Buster Parfait and when it was his turn and the cute young chickie asked him what he wanted he said:

"I want a ***** Buster Parfait."

And he didn't do that on purpose and he was extremely mortified!

I have had many text message faux pas where I sent a message to the wrong person, also did that with emails...so now I am very careful and check the name twice before hitting send.

One embarrassing one involved a text intended for my then boyfriend that I sent my son by mistakes.

Oh your poor son!

Haaa the look on that cashier's face would have been priceless --- great faux pas !

I too have sent texts to the wrong recipient - to the point of almost being paranoid about it now - have wondered if there's a text 'double check warning' app :) - and you did about all you can do with your son - just ignore it and hope it goes away - sort of like passing gas in a room full of people - :)

I use Google Gmail and there is a thing that i use called UNDO SEND, i have it set for 30 seconds, after that i can't stop it but if i realise within the tme range i can undo the email, i find it very useful and have used it quite a few times, it is in their settings section

Not when you have "the Second Chance App" installed on your phone..... after you press "send" you have to verify the name of the recipient - then you get an "Are You Sure? yes or no" button that pops up -

- so the idea is here - all I have to do now is develop it ... but since the devil is in the details, it's not likely :)
