Just read that Paul Revere, of Paul Revere & The Raiders has decided to quit touring. This is due to health issues with the 76 year old. Yep, it's time to hang up the American Revolutionary Soldier outfit and take care of heath.........as highly suggested by his doctor and fellow band members. A high school classmate of mine told me that she seem him two years ago and he walked on stage using a cane. Yes, I guess it would be time to go.

BUT, what will The Raiders be like without the big guy, Paul Revere?? Will the group lose fans. Actually, I doubt I'd want to see one of their concerts without him there. Heck, the "Mad Man" was one of my favorite "Rocker's" back in the 70's! I seen them when Mark Lindsey and Keith Allison was still with the band.

Would you go to a concert of your favorite group if you knew the Lead Singer was no longer with the group. Paul wasn't the Lead Singer, but he was definitely a "Lead".

I remember seeing the Righteous Brothers in Las Vegas the year before Bobby Hatfield died. As much as I enjoy hearing Bill Medley sing, I would not go to see just him. BTW, the Righteous Brothers in Vegas was indeed one of the best shows that I had ever been to. Same thing happened to me with the Siegfried and Roy duo. I saw them in Vegas and a year later Roy had his episode with Montecore the tiger. And then after all of that there was the Tim Conway and Harvey Korman show in Vegas and then Harvey died. I quit going to Vegas. (Earlier, I had seen the Smothers Brothers and thankfully they are still around, but I don't know if they are performing.)
