After four attempts with Windex I used a product specifically for flat screens called "Flawless". Works great and the bottle comes in 16 ounce size. Bought it online. Claims to good for LED, LCD and Plasma TVs. Smart Phones, Tablets, Laptops and in dash screens. Sorry I don't recall the price.

According to experts, you shouldn't use Windex or any ammonia based cleaning products on monitors because it can eat through the screen membrane and discolor it or affect the sensitivity of touchscreens and possibly cause it to cease functioning.

Isopropyl alcohol is recommended, although it might stink a bit. It's cheap, though.

The best way is to wipe the screen with a dry soft microfiber cloth. TV's and computer monitors attract dust, but if you wipe them down regularly....how often depends upon how quickly they get dusty/dirty....you can quickly clean the screen with no damage. A soft cloth, washrag, dishtowel, etc., can be dampened with plain water to remove any stubborn smudges, then quickly wiped with a soft dry cloth. Very few modern TV's use a glass screen, so any solvents or cleaners should be used with caution.

We use Swoosh, originally purchased through Costco. My little fingers leave monstrous spots all over my ipad.
