Close Encounters

On Netflix was either a documentary or paranormal ‘BS’ called 'Unacknowledged' produced by Dr Stephen Greer in 2007. I'm not saying I believe it or not, what I'm asking is has anyone seen it? Interesting stories, with probably half-truths, conjecture & some unproven claims by the interviewees. My personal experience growing up in the area (Western states) hit close to home. I remember the nerve gas leaks that whipped out 5,000 sheep in the western desert of Utah. The government never acknowledged responsibility but did reimburse the ranchers for their losses. I believe that the 'downwinders' are real & that health problems of the cast & crew of the John Wayne/John Ford production of 'Genghis Khan' has some validity. I was too young to remember much about Roswell, NM & the alien crash. I personally have never seen or experienced alien encounter or UFO sighting in all the times I hunted rabbits, deer or fowl in those areas.

OTOH My brother-in-law had studied to be an engineer, graduated taught school for a few years (late 50's) then moved to Las Vegas to work for the government. It was many years later, years after he retired that I had the chance to ask him about it. I asked him point blank, 'Is Area 51 real? 'Yes!' he then went on to explain that he rode the bus NW to work every morning, they were not allowed to drive a private vehicle there. His work required he had more than normal access to the hangers & buildings there. He told me he still couldn't talk about some of the things but did acknowledge that it was a real place & very, very secretive on a need to know basis.

If you seen the show, do you believe that things & concepts exist in our present day government & do you believe the possibilities that a major government cover up still dictates what is told or revealed to our leaders on a need to know basis? Even to the extent of what is revealed or allowed to be revealed to our elected officials? As I watch TV, reality shows or movies I always have to tell myself that these productions while based somewhat on fact, the writers, producers & directors will embellish them to make them more interesting & profitable. To me it's all smoke & mirrors. I used to believe what Will Rogers said, believe nothing of what you hear, half of what you read & all of what you see. That no longer holds true since the advent of cam corder's & slick spin doctors or lawyers hired to explain the recorded facts the way they want them to come out.

, I went to the Rainbow gathering which was in the east mountains of Arizona, up by the Mogollon rim. There was a movie made about that area called Fire in the Sky. It was supposedly a true story about a guy that was abducted by aliens. A young kid about 20 years old that lived in my neighborhood went with me. We went up old highway 666 though Safford up to Alpine. Highway 666 was changed to highway 191, guess why. That road lives up to the number. There are so many curves and switchbacks, that the top speed is twenty miles per hour for a hundred miles. It took us all night to get to Alpine. We had to stop there at 5am because my gas gauge didn’t work and I wasn’t sure how much gas I had when we got there. So we had to wait till 7am for the only gas station to open.
After we got gas and breakfast, we decided not to go on to the gathering because I knew that it would take us most of the day to park, shuttle in, and then hike to the camp. And I knew that if we did hike in, we probably would just stay there and end up quitting our jobs. So we decided to drive down to Silver City New Mexico and see a friend of mine
On the drive up highway 666 that night, I was telling this kid about the time I saw a UFO in Santa Fe years ago. He was a real skeptic until we got about ten miles from Silver City. That’s when both of us got a real close up look at a UFO. We were driving south on highway 211, when we saw this metallic orb hovering about a hundred feet above the road, about a mile in front of us. We kept getting closer and closer to it, till it was almost right above our heads. Then it cloaked and became invisible. Then it appeared again about a mile farther down the road. We drove up to it again, and when we got up to it, it cloaked again, and appeared another mile down the road. When we were approaching it the third time, the kid wanted me to stop so he could get out of the van and go check it out. I always used to think that if I ever got the chance, I’d try to catch a ride on one of those things. But when I got the chance I changed my mind, and I didn’t want to have to explain when happened to the kid if he had got abducted, so I kept on moving. Needless to say, the kid wasn’t a skeptic any more.
