Coast to Coast Radio-Does Anyone Listen?

I have been a long time listener going back to Art Bell.
I don't like a lot of it. I'm not a fan of paranormal, and far out things. I'll listen to a UFO show unless it's outlandish.
I do like some of the shows about prophecy and conspiracies. I like when they have scientists, authors, things like that.
I like the numbers lady. Some guests are quacks and there are a million commercials. Carnivora!
Anyway, it's not as good as years back and I don't listen often but it has it's moments.
Most of it puts me to sleep which is good.

I used to listen to this show way back when Art Bell was on there, too, @hearlady , and he had some really great shows back then. I stopped listening to late night radio some time ago, so unless I pick up an old episode on youtube, I do not listen anymore.
My husband sometimes gets up early enough in the morning that C2C AM is still on , in our area, so he listens to it when he finds it.

My favorite episode is still the one about Mel’s Hole, out in Eastern Washington, near Ellensburg. Mel was on the show quite a few times, and he always had a new story to add about what was happening and what was the latest thing that had disappeared down the hole.

An interesting fact, is that the military has a large base in the mountains between Ellensburg and Yakima, and I always wondered if they had anything to do with this whole story. It seems like Mel maybe said something about the military checking it out, but it has been a long time and I do not remember anymore.

Crystal Gale wrote a special song for Art Bell, called Midnight in the Desert.

Is that on TV or the Radio?

Yes! Love that!

Not exactly the same type of radio listening... However, during the late 70s early 80s, we had a band radio. We used to receive all the calls between many emergency channels and even taxis and ambulances. It wasn't mine, so when I left after my wedding, I didn't get it, but it was good listening while it lasted.

Telling you how long ago this was, it had been bought at a Radio Shack store. They've been closed down for about a decade now...

I still have some kids science kits from Radio Shack! That was the place back in the day.

It's on the radio. It's kind of a kooky show on in the middle of the night so the people that call in to ask questions, etc. are kind of kooky too. I think most listeners are long term and "get it". If you're new to it you're going to think, " Is hearlady off her rocker? " 😁
Is it AM or FM radio? I'm already off my rocker so I'll understand...😂

I stopped listening to the radio decades ago and didn't like talk shows anyway. I had an online friend who's handle was C2C Listener. It was a few years before I found out it meant Coast To Coast listener. Being I was heavy into UFO stuff at the time, I'd read articles and see docs mentioning Coast to Coast back from when Art Bell was there and featuring George Noory. Here are some YT videos of C to C. @Ruthanne

I listened to Art Bell for years until my Radio Shack transistor radio died and I couldn't find another one. They treated the ridiculous and the scientific in exactly the same way. It was up to the listener to sort things out. I didn't like the new guy as well but I might give it another try.

Oh! Yes..for quite awhile now.I
Other than George N.
Like Richard Serritt from out-of- Toronto, Canada

I have been listening to some of news talk literally since I was a kid. KGO News talk in San Francisco went away for good over a year ago. There are 3 YouTube channels from former hosts and other staff that were started and I watch those.

I catch Coast to Coast on occasion going to work. It's not really my thing but I'll listen to whatever news talk is on.
