My son planted a cocoa tree in our front yard, and it now has quite a number of cocoa pods on it. AI is teaching me step by step how to make chocolate. The first step was to cut the pods open, scoop the beans out, wrap them in a banana leaf, and leave them for a few days. The second step is to remove the fermented beans from the banana leaf and place them in the sunlight for about a week to dry. The next step will be to place them in a preheated oven for 20 minutes.
