Coconut Oil, what brand is best or does it matter?

I am considering trying coconut oil for health benefits and was wondering, what kind or brand is best? When I was researching, it didn't look all the same but I could be mistaken. Is it all the same? I'm looked online and of course, I don't know which to believe so I thought I would ask people who use it. What kind or brand do you buy?
 

This is the kind I use, I like it because it lists the percentage of Medium Chain Triglycerides on the label, I'm sure there's better ones that are more expensive out there, but I can buy this locally and it seems to be a quality brand. From what I recall, the smoke point of coconut depends on how it is processed with some types having a smoke point around 350F while other types might be 400F to 450F. So how you are going to use it might determine which type to use. Olive oil is that way too with extra light having a higher smoke point than virgin.
 

I use Nutiva because it is a brand that is sourced from producers that don't abuse the monkeys to pick it. Some brands are sourced from people that are terrible abusive to monkey's who are sent up the trees to pick or pull off the coconuts and throw them down to be collected. They are worked to exhaustion and often beaten.

Just be sure to buy cold pressed, virgin coconut oil. I bought a refined jar once and it's just not the same.

Thank you for this information, SeaBreeze! I have used this brand in other products so between the fact that I have used the brand before and you recommended it, I went ahead and ordered it. Thanks again!
