College Athletes Abused; Should they be paid? NCAA Corrupt?

There has been a lot of talk over the last several years about paying college athletes many of whom are already getting a scholarship. It seems like any time the NCAA has their 'championships' ie the bowl games and March Madness the topic of pay comes up. This time even Obama threw in his two cents.

His big thing is a no strings attached scholarship which I agree with because just being part of a sports program affects academics.

Others are apparently chastising an NFL player for retiring early because of concussions. He says he wants to use his college degree.

But should college athletes be paid, is it fair or not fair?

As much as I consider college a big corporate business type operation filled with just as many greedy ambitious whores seeking status & money it is still voluntary to play sports as it is to attend college. And to have tuition paid for just because one is playing a game while many students & parents are in hock up to their necks trying to pay for tuition is it fair for an athlete on scholarship to get additional money?

Personally the scholarship/free tuition is enough. Maybe some kind of debit card for food, basic clothing, toiletries etc since they are too busy to work but an actual pay check or cash-no way.
