College Athletes Can't Unionize NLRB Ruling

College Athletes won't be able to unionize. Included in the ruling was a fear of how union vs non union teams would be affected if one had restrictions on practice and others did not for example. It could create a competitive fairness issue.

College sports is a big money maker but so is a free college degree if pursued and used correctly.

These college athletes should receive some sort of reimbursement for the huge sums of money they bring into the universities. Far too many of them are given a questionable degree that does little to prepare them for their life after college. Only about 1 in 100 ever make it to the Pro ranks and the big money there....the rest wind up in some mundane job, some nursing lifelong injuries they sustained on the football field.

I'll go with a fully paid for degree wether it takes 4 years or 8 years. I'd even give them room and board for another year or two to finish their degree. It's college, not a professional league.
