Communication in Marriage

For newly weds for the husband to be happy learning how women communicate is essential.

This is a true story.

I was sitting in my easy chair watching a program on TV when my wife came in & asked me to accompany her to the kitchen. Once there she asked me what I saw.

My reply. I see the kitchen sink, stove, refrigerator & automatic dishwasher.

Wife -- What else?
Me-- clean floor & no dishes to be put in dishwasher.
Wife-- what else
Me-- nothing

Wife-- What about the dish cloth & dish towel?
Me-- both are where they should be.

Wife-- wrong you didn't match the set when you put them there.

Why that matters baffles me but having learned not to question the long drawn out question & answer system if you want to be happy.

There is no "right or wrong" toilet seat position, the user has the option to control it to suit their needs.

I think the real solution is to just try to be as nice to your partner as possible. We all have bad days. Just give your partner a lot of space when they are having one. Lots of little gifts, little acts of kindness.

You can take me and my life for example. Look at a list of everything I have done. Then do the exact opposite.

Our bathrooms are really small so one day the seat was down but the lid was up and DH's teeth skittered off the counter right into the toilet. Now there is no question about it both seat and lid are kept closed!

What many forget is that if seat is up so is lid, that can be hazard for both small children and pets of all sizes, especially if you use auto release chemical cleansers in the bowl. Knowing this is what got my boys, age 8 when their sister was born to always put both seat and lid down after years of being haphazard about it.
