Comparing energy/electric rates

I am looking at my electric service and wondering if this is a good deal. I am paying 11 per kwh. How are your rates and if you have better in Texas who is your provider?

I thought is would be good for us to compare even if we are in different parts of the country.

Just got my bill for last month $88. My bill doesn't mention any "per kwh" anywhere. I swear it doesn't. I searched it back and front.
It's more than twice that during rental season which was also hot this past summer so A/C ran non-stop.
But I get paid enough to rent it out so I don't mind.

My bill shows 10.3¢ for off-peak and 15.8¢ on-peak.

It was hidden in the fine print breakdown on the back.

However there are a ton of other charges, from "access" to "distribution" that are close to half of the electricity bill total.

The real average cost is 19.2¢/kWh, and that's before state sales tax.

That info helps me a lot. My .11 pkw is with all the other things added already so I would say I am doing okay. My provider is Stream Energy. I have been using them for about 15 years.

I have been going over expenses to make sure I am getting the price I can. With inflation I am sure many of us are reviewing out services for a lot of stuff.

The total bill was $18.22 this past month / 69.68 kwh = .2615 per kwh.
That's quite high considering that my overall electric usage per month is quite small.
Fortunately there have been various discounts recently, so the bill has often been $0, which is helpful.
On the bill PG&E says the cost is $.11 per kilowatt hour, which is rubbish. It's $.2615.

Honestly, I think PG&E raises thier rates and purposely forgets to tell us.
Then, they send you a letter telling you (me) that my bill is higher than last year at this time...but they neglect to tell you (me) that it's cause they've raised their rates. Sneaky little fluffers.

On the bright side I love those discounts...

According to my latest bill, it is $0.09699 @ KWH.

BUT, there are fees, taxes etc. that boost the final tally to $87.40 for 638 KWH.

13.7¢ per KWH.

My latest bill shows a single rate too: 9.5 cents. Plus a long list of fees.
