Complained About Gritty Tea

Might be inevitable. I heard that companies sweep off the large bits to repackage and sell them under designer labels to the hipster market, then bag up what remains for the hoi polloi.

If I suggest to just buy another box of tea, will it be considered cynical & sarcastic ?

I've had residue left in my cup ... always and for decades. Never considered that it wasn't just a natural part of the brewing process. Oh well, it never hurt or "kilt" me, so I don't plan on changing brands. :giggle:

Oooops, you use bags... my AI answer was for leaves. But it's perfectly normal. I'll keep looking.
EDIT:
"Why is there brown stuff in my tea?
The brown residue you see at the bottom of your cup is caused by pulverized leaves in your tea. You'll mostly see this in loose leaf tea and regular tea bags."

The last box of tea I purchased left a gritty residue in the bottom of the cup. I sent a message to the company through their web site. Now they want a picture of the residue and for me to send them back the box with any unused teabags.
It's good to see a company take the complaint about quality seriously.

I mailed back the unused teabags with their carton this morning. I thought the shipping envelopes were free, but the PO charged me for it!
