If you are loving a book and the author is contactable, do you ever send them a message to tell them how much you love their work? It's easy now with Messenger and Facebook.
I do, it seems the natural thing to do. I have had lovely replies back. Authors like to be appreciated and many run their own groups on Facebook. It's nice to join other fans and exchange thoughts.
This goes for TV series or programmes, I let them know how good I think their work is.
